Where can we go to watch a live Florida Baseball game?
When you think of Florida baseball, you might think of the Florida Marlins or the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. But people travel from all over the country to Fort Myers so they can watch the Minnesota Twins and/or the Boston RedSox in Spring Training. In Fort Myers, we have two state of the art baseball stadiums to accommodate our teams and fans from the North!
These stadiums are only a short drive from your Fort Myers Beach bayside vacation rental.
Twins Spring Training – Hammond Stadium: The Minnesota Twins spend their Spring Training season here in Fort Myers and play in front of sold out crowds.
Red Sox Spring Training - jetBlue Park at Fenway South. The Boston Red Sox moved from the City of Palms stadium in down-town Fort Myers to this brand new stadium with an increased capacity of 10,823!
Florida baseball isn’t only limited to major league teams either. Between April and September, the Fort Myers Miracle (the Twins’ Class A Affiliate) plays at this stadium. Hammond Stadium is located in South Fort Myers, and is the centerpiece of an 80-acre Sports Complex.
