Caloosahatchee Regional Park
The county's newest riverfront regional park features scenic hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails. Picnic pavilions and tent campsites available.
Centennial Park
The only riverfront public park in downtown Ft. Myers, this beautiful park hosts a number of annual events. The "Uncommon Friends" and "Sgt. Clayton" statues are here.
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary
An 11,000 acre ancient forest with a 2 1/4 mile boardwalk that meanders through picturesque areas.
CREW Land and Water Trust
Experience the new boardwalk that takes visitors over the CREW Marsh Trail System into Popash Slough.
Estero Bay Preserve State Park
The bay and surrounding ecosystem is home to a variety of wildlife, including the bald eagle, gopher tortoise and fiddler crab.
Hickey's Creek Mitigation Park
Three scenic hiking parks wind through the park, which contains Hickey's Creek, a tributary to the Caloosahatchee River. Great spot for paddlers, fisherman and picnickers.
J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge
The refuge is part of the largest undeveloped mangrove ecosystem in the U.S. World famous for its spectacular migratory bird populations.
Lakes Regional Park
An oasis in the city. The park features a freshwater lake, miniature train rides, Fragrance Gardens, showers, paved biking/walking paths, a water-feature playground, food concession, bike/boat rentals and picnic pavilions.
Manatee Park
View the endangered West Indian manatee in a non-captive, natural environment. Viewing areas, picnic shelters, native plant and butterfly gardens, kayak rentals and launch to the Orange River.
Matanzas Pass Wilderness Preserve and Historic Cottages
The only nature preserve on Fort Myers Beach. Travel the trail to a small pavilion jutting out into Estero Bay, a favorite spot for picnics, fishing and viewing wildlife.
Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve
Naturalist-led walks and self-guided tours along the mostly-shaded boardwalk trail are offered throughout the year.
