Palm Harbor 504W, 3 Bedrooms, Elevator, Pool, Hot Tub, WiFi, Sleeps 6
Ft. Myers - Bonita Beach
Spectacular views. Plush furnishings. A heated pool and Jacuzzi. One of the countries best beaches a 4-minute walk away. There’s so much to love about Palm Harbor 504W, our 3-bedroom, 5th-floor condo.
Our favorite feature of the condo has to be the large screened-in balcony. It’s furnished with a dining table and chairs so that as you enjoy your morning coffee or your evening meal you can look out toward the Gulf of Mexico and onto the marina. The sunsets are spectacular, though any time of day you’re bound to see boats bobbing past, seabirds soaring through the skies, and even manatees and dolphins frolicking in the water. And because the balcony has a ceiling fan, it’s great for escaping from the midday heat.
Of course, the living area is a wonderful spot for relaxing as well. Elegantly decorated in soothing neutrals, it features sofas you’ll love to sink into, whether it’s to watch TV, surf the web (Palm Harbor 504W has free wifi), or treat yourself to a nap. As for the recliner, what better spot to finally lose yourself in that book you never have time to read at home?
If for some reason you don’t want to dine on the balcony--or explore any of the fabulous restaurants within walking distance--the unit has both a sun-washed breakfast nook and a breakfast bar that seats 3.
On the other side of the breakfast bar is the well-equipped kitchen. Whether you intend to cook a lavish feast or do little more than brew coffee and microwave leftovers, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, prep tools, and tableware you could possibly need. The open layout means you can gaze out at the view even as you’re tossing a salad or loading plates into the dishwasher.
Nearly as marvelous as the balcony is the master bedroom--which in fact has sliding glass doors that open directly onto balcony. Roomy, airy, and sunny, the master bedroom includes not only a king-size bed but also a love seat, an armchair, nightstands, a wall-mounted TV, and a huge dresser. We’ve seen apartments that are smaller than this bedroom!
The other 2 bedrooms, each furnished with a queen-size bed, are just as well appointed. The same is true for the 2 full bathrooms, which include plenty of storage for stashing all your toiletries. Stacks of fresh towels and freshly made beds will be waiting for you--no need to bring your own.
For even more convenience, Palm Harbor 504W includes its own full-size washer and dryer. You can pack everything you need in one small carry-on bag!
Be sure that bag has a swimsuit and sunscreen, though, because you’ll want to spend lots of time at Palm Harbor’s heated marina-front pool. Enjoy an invigorating swim, then relax in the hot tub or stretch out on one of the poolside chaises--bliss!
And when you’re not by the pool, you can be on the beach. Others have to load up the car with a day’s worth of gear and then battle traffic before they can enjoy sand and surf. You, however, will be able to simply stroll back and forth between your condo and the beach as often as you please: It’s that close! Parasail in the morning, paddleboard in the afternoon, and in between fish, swim, jet ski, or collect shells (the velvety sands are full of them!).
Palm Harbor is also within walking distance of tennis courts, eateries, shops, and a movie theater. And at the end of the block is a stop for the trolley that runs the length of the island. You can venture north to Bowditch Park to watch tortoises, rays, and ospreys or to the Times Square area, with its nightspots, restaurants, shops, and live entertainment.
The most difficult part of your vacation will be deciding what to do first! But you can rest easy knowing that at the end of the day, you have the luxe surroundings of Palm Harbor 504W to come home to. First, though, you need to book your stay, before someone else beats you to it!

Very Nice, With A Couple Caveats

We enjoyed our week-long stay at Palm Harbor 504. We arrived just after sunset and our first impression was seeing the beautiful sky through the many windows facing the gulf and the marina. The place was clean and well-decorated.
The master bedroom was large and included a sofa-bed, with a walk-in closet, a huge walk-in shower, and a double sink. The toilet was in a very small room with nothing on the walls, so it seemed like being in a closet, but it served its purpose. A sliding door leads to the large lanai, which could also be entered from the living room. We love to dine outside, and the lanai easily accommodated five adults.
There are two smaller rooms with queen beds, with a full bath to share. The kitchen was nicely stocked, and we ate most breakfasts and lunches at our condo. At first we had trouble with the ice-maker jamming, but once we cleared out the jam and stopped using crushed ice we were able to get cubes to come out just fine.
The only semi-major reservation I have about this building is its location right next to the Fish Tale Marina. While it was great to be a short walk from the shops and restaurants of Santini Mall and the marina is certainly picturesque, the boats are stored on multi-level racks and a forklift brings them in and out of the water pretty much constantly from 8am on. It didn't bother us all that much, but it's worth knowing about. I will also mention that the Fish House has moved out of its marina location and a new seafood restaurant is opening there soon.
On the positive side, the walk to the beach is short and there's an easy place to cross the road in front of CVS. The beach access is on the north side of the Wyndham hotel, passing Pincher's Crab Shack, a delightful (but loud and busy) place to sip drinks and dine on seafood while the sun goes down.

Fabulous location. The condo was clean and very spacious. Vacation Rental pros did a good job getting us into the condo by 4:00 on Saturday, but check out was supposed to be 11:00, and at 8 in the morning, someone was already knocking at our door to clean the place! It was pretty obnoxious! Also, we would definitely rent Palm Harbor again because it was close to restaurants, and shops. We saw manatee from our deck. A very nice trip! The condo could use an HD box……and some updating. Bedding was on the older side. Other than that, we were happy.

We enjoyed this spacious condo with its screened porch and view of the marina. The adjacent Santini plaza provides a variety of restaurants and food choices as well as great shopping. The unit has a well-equipped kitchen if you like to prepare your own meals, too. It's nicely located to the gulf beach ( a short walk, and an even shorter drive,) the cinema, and other dining choices as well.

This is our 6th year in Fort Myers Beach and 4th year at Palm Harbor. This is our first year in this unit and we would request this unit again on our next visit.
